A chalet style house, solid and atmospheric, built from glued laminated timber by Holz House factory. An elegant form of the building softened the brutalism of the material.

The house is 205 sq. m, with an open air pavilion that hosts 12 guests in the inner yard.

The central facade of the construction os closed. Inside, on the contrary, the focus is on openness and transparency. The designed stained-glass windows hs-portal allow to open the gliding window even with the large span of the living room, thus enlarging the space, uniting it with its inner garden. All the rooms in the hose are equipped with such windows.
Chalet style is about natural colours and materials. The theme of wood (all shades of light to dark hazel) is, certainly, the leading one in this interior. In the finishing of the walls timber is preserved. The floor is finished with the same polished flagstone, as the area around the house. The flagstone is the outdoor material, but it was used here on purpose, to highlight the absence of any borders between the indoor and outdoor space. The sauna section is finished with the stone as well.

The house is one storied with two bedrooms and two bathrooms to one side and a washroom and to the other, a sauna with a unique steam room: stained-glass doors enlarged a rather spacious steam room. A spacious, airy living room with the ceiling of 5 metres unites both wings into one living space. The area is loosely divided into living and dining zones with the fireplace being the eye-pleasing focal point of the living room.

By the customer’s request the designed interior is timeless, that justified the choice of Eichholtz furniture. This brand unites classical style in its contemporary interpretation with ethnic elements and minimalism.

The lights in the living room are suspended, with minimalistic abattoir by Crystorama. Thanks to their black wrought metal trims they are organic both to the rooms in the country-style and mixed-contemporary style. Besides, we used Eichholtz lights and for the technical lighting — product by Centrsvet factory. The decor is black ceramics and life vegetation in the vases.

Russian factory Loffilab custom made beds and mattresses for the bedrooms. The headboard in the master bedroom is finished with fabric, which softens the interior.

The sauna with the steam room are a real jewel of the guest house. The walls in the washroom are lined with the Turkish travertine with antique finish: a very pleasantly tactile, deep material. The door jamb to the steam room is emphasised by a stone portal, marble Petra Grey. The wardrobe in the main hall stand out among other furniture items. It is finished with microcement, that maintains the decorative textured finish of the walls.
