The hotel located at the countryside park "Blizhnaya dacha" is designed in the style of chalet: a simple geometry of a one level building with a double pitch roof blended in organically with the park’s landscape. The construction of the house is made from warm laminated limber by Holz House factory. The brutalism of the architectural forms is softened by the texture of the lumber preserved in the interior finishing of the rooms. The same lumber also decorates the pergola in the patio. This recreation area sits twelve guests and is equipped with a comfortable barbecue deck — in summer it turns into location for barbecuing and friendly gatherings in the open air.
The closed forefront of the building conceals an open plan space. Sliding floor-to-ceiling windows let in maximum of the daylight and wide doorways further allow it to penetrate into all the rooms. The living room has got stained-glass window hs-portal thanks to which the area can be enlarged by connecting it with the inner garden. By deciding against the second floor construction the common area gained double-height windows. With five-meter ceiling the stuffed furniture set with a couple of sofas and a deep armchair turned out to be more stately. The furnishing of the house according to the customer had to be timeless and respectable, so the designer turned to the Eichholtz brand. Classical furniture that combines elements of modern style, minimalism and ethnics, thus remains actual for long time. The living room composition is complete with an elegant fireplace the flue duct of which as shipped with long-sweep bends as per the customers request. They attract attention at the background of exposed rafters and caissons. The opposite part of the room is designated as the dining area, appropriate for both entertain guests and warm family gatherings. White carpets helped zoning this big space. Their shade contrasts the natural stone of the floor. The earthly subside of the ground flagstone came from the exterior: this material is normally used for the garden paths, and here it obscures the transition between the house and the green area.
The nature, surrounding the cottage is often reflected in the finishings' palette: Maria Ksenofontova chose several noble wood species. Light and dark panels alternate, thus maintaining the traditional character of the interior.
